(Psst!)
That! Did you hear it?
It's springtime and it's sneaking around, teasing me! Today it left these gorgeous and oh-so-fragrant daffodils in my yard!
I didn't know that daffodils smelled so good, did you? They are heavenly! Now, normally I would not go plucking the very first spring flowers from their happy little home next to the creek, but since we are expected to have a thunderstorms with high winds late tonight, I decided to go ahead and save them from being beaten and torn by the elements.
Besides, they look so sunny in my kitchen and fresh cut flowers make me feel so fancy!

Yay! Here you are!
No, I had no idea that daffodils were fragrant. But I've always known they're beautiful. Good job rescuing them. Ours are just starting to push through, but I think blooms are about a week away. Seventy five degrees two days ago. Snow last night. Who knows what the poor flowers will do.
wow...amazing that they are already blooming.
Wow, I am impressed that you grew these. Beautiful! And I love that you have a creek...who has a creek?
I can't wait for our daffs to make an appearance - in about another 5 or 6 weeks probably. And I agree they have a lovely frangrance!
Rachael,
I really didn't grow these....
The lovely previous owner of our home planted lots of things here and being that this is our first ever spring in this house, I am discovering them one at a time! I really had no idea they were there until this week!
